G.S.S.V. Moddervet

Membership

Awesome! You decided you want to become a member, which might just be the best choice in your student-career (although we might be a bit biased…). There are a couple of things you need to know in order to complete your membership, but dont worry: on this page we explain everything.

Getting an ACLO-card

To become a member you need to be a student of the RUG or Hanze University of Applied Sciences and you need to own a valid ACLO-card. Because Moddervet has partnered with the ACLO, this is mandatory for all Moddervet members. You can get yours at aclosport.nl

Filling out the registration form

If you got your ACLO card, all you need to do is fill out and submit our registration form to become a member! You will then automatically enter our membership administration and you are registered. Our secretary will send you a welcome email shortly afterwards with all the information.

Contribution

Members pay €27,50 per quarter-year. You always pay in advance of the upcoming quarter through an automatic incasso. These costs are in addition to the costs of your ACLO-membership card. The quarter years have been diveded as follows:

  • 1 January – 31 March
  • 1 April – 30 June
  • 1 July – 30 September
  • 1 October – 31 December
If you want to quit, please provide us with a notice and payment from the next quarter on will be canceled.

Insurance

Of course we always try to prevent sports injuries, but accidents can happen. Survivalrun falls under the category of risk sports, mainly because of the height of certain obstacles. This means that if something happens during a survival run or during a training, you will need additional insurance.

The Dutch Survival Federation (SBN) therefore offers insurance for all its members and affiliated associations. They check the obstacles on both the runs and the training tracks and as long as they are approved and the member plus the association are connected to the SBN, the insurance is in order.

If you are not a member of SBN, you are officially not allowed to train, meaning if something happens that causes you to incur medical costs and/or become incapacitated for work, insurance will not cover the costs. As a precaution, non-SBN members are not allowed to do 4 meter high obstacles.

Become a member of the Dutch Survival Federation here: survivalbond.nl.

Active Members

There are no obligatory activities for Moddervetters. However, if you want to do more than just training you can become an active member! Jesper Hommes sometimes needs help with maintenance and construction work on and around the track and he can always use some eager people to help out! As a rewards for active members, a barbecue is organized near the end of the year. If you actively help with sports days, building obstacles or cleaning up the track, you will be invited to this extensive barbecue, which is always a lot of fun!

You can also join one of our commitees to help out the association. Check out the committee page for more information

Deregister

Finished with survival or graduated? If you want to deregister from the association, you can send an email to secretarismoddervet@gmail.com. Deregistration is successful when you have received a confirmation that you have been deregistered. Make sure to sign out before the first day of the next quarter to avoid unwanted charges.
