The 13th board of GSSV Moddervet (2024-2025):
Hey!
My name is Froukje Idema and I am chairwoman for the 13th board of Moddervet. More than two years ago I decided to sign up for the Moddervet introductory period, and I immediately ended up in a warm bath (and also in the cold Reitdiep by the way ;)). The combination of a beautiful outdoor sport in which I can release all my energy, and a warm, enthusiastic group of people has ensured that Moddervet has conquered a special place in my heart. Together with my fellow candidate board members, I am really looking forward to continuing this great atmosphere and even improving it where possible. You can find me at the track almost every Tuesday or Thursday for a nice chat or a joke. See you soon!
Hello there,
My name is Ayita Drent, and I am the secretary of the current board of G.S.S.V Moddervet. Two years ago I decided to return to the sport I practiced as a 10-year-old and that is how I ended up at Moddervet. Since then I have built up a lot of love and passion for the sport again, and I enjoy going to the training and runs. In addition to being a Moddervet member, I am now entering the third year of my Dutch law studies. I hope that we will manage Moddervet again this year and that we will all make it a great year!
Dear reader,
I am Carmen Brouwer, 22 years old and I will be your treasurer in the coming year. It has only been two years since I discovered the wonderful phenomenon of “survival run”. It feels like an eternity. Although I initially found it quite nerve-wracking to join Moddervet, I soon discovered how much fun the sport is and, above all, how incredibly sweet the people are. I completely fell in love with the association. I love being able to train outside after a day of sitting indoors in what is really just a huge playground.
I’m really looking forward to making it a great year! See you soon!
Hi!
My name is Tjerk Jan Atsma, I’m your intern, and actually I don’t think I can start this piece any other way than to admit that I have been in love with the sport since childhood, and once I got the time and opportunity in Groningen I happily registered with Moddervet. Since then, our association has actually been more to me than it should have been, and I can be truly grateful for that. I now think it would be nice to take on a responsible role within the association, and secretly I am very much looking forward to embarking on one last year of brash student days under the guise of that same responsibility (I am actually almost 26). In any case, I hope that we will all make it a great year, and that we as a board will form an easily accessible point of contact. See you on the track!
