G.S.S.V. Moddervet

Current board

The 11th board of GSSV Moddervet (2022-2023):

Chairwoman:

Camilla de Graaf

Hey there, Moddervet members! I’m Camilla de Graaf, and I am the chairman of Moddervet! But before you think, “Who’s this Camilla?” Let me share a bit about myself, and I promise to keep it short and sweet!

Two years back, I stumbled upon the world of survivalrun and joined the fantastic Moddervet student association. It’s been a lot of fun since then! My absolute favorite obstacle? Those tricky “korte touwtjes” – they keep me mud-solutely entertained, and boost your confidence when you make it! When I’m not getting muddy and conquering obstacles, you can find me at the RUG as a Master’s student in Biomedical Sciences. Now, some of you might be wondering, “Has Camilla already been active for moddervet? Well, the answer is a “yes!” I’ve been part of the “accie” (chairman), proving that I’m no stranger to teamwork and getting things done.

So, there you have it – just a regular Moddervet member who’s enthusiastic about making Moddervet Mud-tastic! If you have any questions or just want to have a chat, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Treasurer:

Wiegert Kaal

Good morning! My name is Wiegert, my favorite obstacle is the triangles and I am the treasurer of G.S.S.V. Moddervet this year. Besides treasurer, I will do a master in science communication and am a member of the literary association Flanor. Last year I did 7 comittees in total, and I enjoyed it a lot so, why not join a board? I want to be treasurer because I can be a bit of a Scrooge, so don’t mind being in charge of the money, but also love the association and want everyone to have a lot of fun on the track and with each other. My goal this year is to make sure every dime is dedicated to this purpose.

Secretary:

Joy Ranzijn

Hello there, my name is Joy Ranzijn and I am the secretary of Moddervet. Even though I have been part of this association for only a year, both the sport survivalrunning and the association itself have quickly become something I enjoy more than anything! The positive and friendly environment on the track during trainings is what I love most about our association. Besides survival, I am currently in my third year of the Bachelor Life Science & Technology. If you have any questions or would like a chat, don’t hesitate to come and find me on the track, where I am possibly monkey-hanging through the vertical nets, since that is my favorite obstacle.

Commissionar of internal affairs:

Noor Schepers

Hello Mudfat person, my name is Noor Schepers and I am the commissioner of internal affairs. Since my membership of G.S.S.V. Moddervet (3 years ago, making me the longest member in the board) I have been in multiple committees: the AcCie, IntroCie, FotoCie and even the CampCie for a short time. Besides this, I also know a lot of the Moddervet members who regularly train. This makes me feel like an appropriate candidate for the commissioner of internal affairs. My connection to the association is also why I want to be a board member. Besides the board year, I am doing the MSc Science communication half-time. My favorite obstacles are the short monkey hang ropes and, since short, the short ropes. I really dislike the iron pole swingover, as for me it is just too big of an effort.

Commissionar of external affairs:

Mathijs Kimmel

Hi! My name is Mathijs Kimmel and I am the External Commissioner for Moddervet the coming year. I have a passion for survivalrun and competing in it alongside OCR and regular road/trailrunning! 2 years ago, I joined Moddervet, because I wanted to continue practicing this sport while studying and after a year of focus on training alone, i became an active member and trainer for the association and i’d like to help it grow by filling this role in the board. I have a lot of connections because I compete throughout the country, so i thought this role would fit me best! I hope to do all the members proud and help this association grow! oh yeah, my favorite obstacle has to do with hanging and swinging, so anything from monkeybars to triangles is fine by me.
